Coo-Var Matt Black is ideal for Tudor style beams, photographic work, chalk boards and anywhere a non-reflective surface is required. Not suitable for canvas roller chalk boards. Suitable for interior and exterior use.
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from grease, oil and any other contaminates. Use Coo-Var Masonry Stabiliser on unstable brick, screed or plaster prior to painting. Existing painted surfaces should be cleaned, degreased and sanded to ensure an adequate "key" is produced. Remove all loose, flaking material and treat bare areas as new substrate then prepare accordingly. Apply direct on to wood and concrete. On metal use Coo-Var Zinc Phosphate Primer.
Mix well before use. Apply via brush, roller or airless spray.
To prime your chalkboard, lay a piece of chalk on its side and cover the entire board liberally with chalk. Rub it in with a dry rag and then erase. Chalkboards are porous, so if you do not prime there is a risk the first markings will be there permanently.
