Product Description

Graphenstone Ambient Pro+ Premium is a natural, photocatalytic lime based paint that purifies the air through CO2 absorption as it cures and reduces ambient odours.

Best Uses

Graphenstone Ambient Pro+ is a breathable, natural lime based photocatalytic paint for interior and exterior use. It will absorb CO2 as it cures and through a natural reaction with light, will continually eliminate airborne pollutants, NOx, SOx, Formaldehydes, some VOCs, helping to purify the surrounding air.

  • Ultra matt – ≈1% sheen.
  • Naturally purifies – helps to eliminate airborne pollutants*
  • Absorbs CO2* to partially offset emissions
  • Healthy – raw materials free from chemical preservatives
  • Trace VOCs – less than 0.1%
  • Durable – Class 1 wet scrub EN 13300
  • Breathable – Class 1 vapour open; reduces condensation & allows walls to ‘breathe’
  • Hygienic – Naturally inhibits mould & bacteria
  • Excellent coverage – 12-16m2/L per coat
  • Colour selection - Tintable into 14 pastel colours

*eliminates NOx, SOx, formaldehydes and VOCs

Graphenstone Ambient Pro+ Premium is suitable for interior and exterior walls. Ideal for use in busy communal areas, foyers in cities and near heavy traffic, galleries, car parks, open areas and more.

Suitable for application on to interior walls & ceilings. Exterior walls & masonry. For both domestic and commercial use.

Application

The substrate must be dry, firm, well adhered, even and free of any impurities that could hinder the perfect bonding of the product. Any organic growth and/or other impurities should be removed by thorough cleaning using specific products for this purpose such as Centrecoat GS36 Fungicidal Wash.

Depending on the nature of the surface, the actions prior to application of the paint vary as follows:

  • Old glossy or satin paints and putties: Clean the surface and sand softly.
  • Absorbent substrates (e.g. concrete block or brick): Prepare substrate by applying Graphenstone Ambient Primer Premium.
  • If the substrate is wood, metal (without corrosion or oxidation) or non-porous (e.g. glazed tiles, phenolic
panel, epoxy or polyurethane paints): apply Graphenstone Four2Four Premium.

Shake and dilute with water using 5-10% per litre of product (Approx. 100-150ml water per litre of paint). Ensure good mixing. Avoid excessive shaking to minimise bubble occlusion.

To optimise the photocatalytic effect, it is recommended to first apply a layer of Graphenstone Ambient Primer Premium diluted 1:1 with water. Leave to dry for 24 hours. Apply 2 or 3 coats evenly. Paint in sections, starting
with borders. Without overloading the roller, dip it lightly into the paint to spread evenly. Do not paint over areas that are drying and avoid splices. Please note that an excess of product per coat can generate micro-fissures.

As it is a lime-based paint, it is very important to respect the drying time between coats to realise optimal paint coverage.
