Product Description

Sherwin Williams Resuflor GC UVR is a two-pack epoxy grout for Resuflor Screed and Resuflor Q Screed.

Best Uses

Sherwin Williams Resuflor GC UVR is a thixotropic coating that is worked into the surface of open textured resin screeds, and fills small voids and pockets in the surface, improving resistance to chemicals, water spillage and offering improved cleanability. Sherwin Williams Resuflor GC UVR is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications such as food processing and beverage areas, chemical plant rooms, engineering workshops, aviation and automotive, Factory units and warehouses.

  • Uniform sealed high-build finish
  • Hygienic and easily cleaned
  • Good colour stability
  • No shrinkage on curing
  • Ease of application
  • Can be used for decorative systems

Grout coat for Sherwin Williams Resuflor Screed and Sherwin Williams Resuflor Q Screed.

Application

Surface preparation should be in accordance with the specified flooring system. Refer to individual product data sheet for further information.

Mixing
Mix the entire contents of the Resuflor GC UVR Base with the Resuflor GC UVR Hardener. Mix using a slow speed electric mixer for approximately two to three minutes until the two components are fully combined. The ambient temperatures of the areas should not be allowed to fall below 15°C throughout the application and the curing period, as this could have an adverse effect on the appearance and colour of the system. Surface temperature must be above 10°C. Where possible, it is recommended that the application area is heated to a minimum temperature of 15°C, ideally to allow the ambient and substrate temperature to stabilise prior to the installation.

Application
The mixed unit should be applied within 48 hours of the application of the screed system. Apply to the clean surface with a polypropylene squeegee. Ensure that the Resuflor GC UVR is forced into the surface of the resin screed and pull down any excess to leave a thin coating. Finally, roller off to achieve an even film finish. Resuflor GC UVR does not tend to flow, therefore it is important to ensure that the finish is to an acceptable standard whilst wet.

See Sherwin-Williams Resuflor Industry and Resuflor Deco Quartz System Guides for recommended floor systems.
